    • Projects
      • Ada-Radar - Building energy-efficient radar-based object detection with adaptive compression.
      • tinyASR - Developed an automatic speech recognition (ASR) system with speaker-specific on-chip self-supervised training on Intel 16-nm FinFET.
      • UL-VIO - Designed an ultra‑lightweight visual–inertial odometry (VIO) network with noise‑robust TTA.

    • Projects
      • SpectralQuant - Optimized spectral-domain quantization for an FFT‑based CNN accelerator.
      • fNIRSNN - Implemented a residual spiking neural network (SNN) to regress forehead regional oxygen saturation (rSO2) using functional near‑infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS).

      • Near-Ultrasound Communication - Explored near‑ultrasound communication for low‑power healthcare systems; earned an Excellent Award in the Undergraduate Research Program (URP).
      • Wireless ECG Monitor - Prototyped a low‑power ECG monitoring platform with sensor‑to‑server communication, winning the Qualcomm Innovation Award.

    Agency for Defense Development (ADD), Daejeon, Korea
    • Mentor: Dr. Hyunwoo Nam
    • Projects
      • sBAS – Portable Biological Aerosol Detector – Optimized anomaly‑detection algorithms and designed a time‑to‑digital conversion encoder for devices now deployed in the Republic of Korea Army. Patent transferred for USD 10k.
      • GasCloud‑UAV – Initiated and secured Korea DAPA grant worth USD 1.2M; built autonomous toxic‑gas‑cloud sensing with drones and IR/contact sensors.
      • UV‑APD – Co‑developed ultraviolet avalanche photodiodes with US ARL; validated them in sBAS trials at DEVCOM Chemical Biological Center, MD.
